    How our comparison works

    Our quote assistant asks for your age, nationality, where you live and the cover you want, then prices plans from 14 international insurers through live rate engines: Allianz Care, APRIL International, AXA Global Health, Cigna Global, Expatriate Healthcare, Foyer Global Health, HCI (Nimbl), IMG Global, IPH, Now Health International, Optimum Global, PassportCard, VUMI, XN Global. Results are ranked by price, and you can filter by cover (inpatient, outpatient, dental and maternity).

    For travel insurance, our matcher checks each partner insurer's published rules (age limits, trip length, where you live and the activities you plan) before it shows a plan, and tells you why a plan is not suitable.

    Where our prices and figures come from

    • Prices on the cost map and in the country guides are indicative. They come from real quotes taken on 2026-09-24 for one standard profile (age 32, inpatient and outpatient cover, mid-level plan, worldwide excluding the USA), covering 176 countries. Your own price depends on your age, health, plan and deductible, and is only confirmed by the insurer.
    • The 21 country cost guides use published hospital price lists, government sources and official visa pages, each cited with a numbered source. They were last checked in September 2026.
    • Travel plan summaries are taken from each insurer's published policy wording. The insurer's documents always take precedence.

    How we are paid

    Using HealthiNomad is free. We may earn a commission from an insurer when you buy a policy through us or through our partner links. This does not change the price you pay, and it does not change the order in which plans are shown.
